On Wednesday, November 22, 2023, the Ban Sri Chumpha Bal Foundation, Phuket branch and the Office of the Attorney General of Phuket Province organized a seminar on "Gender Equality to End Violence Against Women, Children, and LGBTQ+." The seminar aimed to stimulate all sectors to recognize the importance and participate in preventing and monitoring violence issues and human trafficking, while promoting gender equality.

Mr. Piyawat Phrachaiya, Director-General of the Office of the Attorney General, Region 8, presided over the opening of the seminar and extended encouragement and support to the participating organizations and individuals. The event took place at the conference room on the second floor of the Office of the Attorney General (Phuket Province), with Dr. Itthichot Kularatnachote, representing the Child and Women Protection Network and the Family Institution of Phuket Province, providing a welcoming address.

Mr. Piyawat Phrachaiya, Director-General of the Office of the Attorney General, Region 8, commended the collaborative efforts in organizing the campaign "Stop Violence against Children, Women, and Human Trafficking" under the theme "Stop Violence with Love." He emphasized the importance of collective action among stakeholders to prevent, assist, and protect families and communities. This includes strengthening the capacity building of families and communities and raising awareness among the public about the issues of violence against children, women, and human trafficking.

Dr. Itthichot Kularatnachote, representing the Child and Women Protection Network and the Family Institution of Phuket Province, reported that following the campaign held on November 19, 2566, the Office of the Attorney General of Phuket Province, along with the Ban Sri Chumpha Bal Foundation, Phuket branch, and the network, continued the effort by organizing the seminar "Gender Equality to End Violence against Women, Children, and LGBTQ+." The objectives were to stimulate participation, prevention, monitoring of violence issues and human trafficking, as well as to promote gender equality. The seminar aimed to ensure that individuals, both women and men, as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community, have access to rights, responsibilities, and opportunities in accordance with the principles of equal human rights. Discriminatory practices based on gender must be eliminated from society as they contradict fundamental human rights, laws, and general moral principles.

The seminar also emphasized the importance of community networks in monitoring, preventing, and addressing family problems at the local level. Violence against children, women, and within families, as well as human trafficking, are issues present at all levels of society. The participants in this event included representatives from the government, private sector, civil society, as well as community leaders and watchdog groups, totaling 100 people. They received support and knowledge-sharing from various organizations such as the Office of Social Development and Human Security of Phuket Province, Vachira Phuket Hospital (OSCC Center), the Juvenile and Family Court of Phuket Province, Guk Event Company Limited, and program presenters from Phuket Provincial Court.
